We can make your event streamlined and simple!
The Extra Ingredient has been putting on events on the east shore of Lake Union since 2020. Weddings and rehearsal dinners. Company holiday parties. Business Meetings. Mitzvahs. Nonprofit galas and school fundraisers. We do a lot of different jobs well, and the team does not change depending on which one you’ve booked.

We curate every menu to your requests, food preferences, and allergies, using the freshest ingredients in our scratch recipes. We serve our food fresh, hot, and beautiful.
The bar is built in, with local draft and cocktails designed around your taste, your guests, and your budget.
We also cater off-site across Seattle and the Eastside – office deliveries, house parties, other venues. Same culinary team, same care, brought to your address.

Up to 150 seated at rounds, up to 300 standing. Fifty guests is absolutely fine too.
Hour rental block
Ten consecutive hours, yours to place where you want them. Events finish by 11pm.
Food & beverage minimum
No number to hit. You book the room and spend what your event actually needs.

Our Story
Everything is already here
Looking for a ‘one-stop shop’? You found us! Our culinary team and service staff are exemplary. We also offer elective services, including coordination/planning, floral, and decor options. Our curated list of trusted partners offers talent in DJs, Photographers, boat services, bands, musicians, and more. If we don’t offer it directly, we can recommend great options.
When you reserve the venue, your caterer and service team are locked in. You have first right to our coordination and decor/floral services. The bar is plumbed in. Our trusted partners know the building, lighting, and amenities well. When the guest count changes three weeks out, one person updates the whole plan. No need for you to worry.
And there is no food and beverage minimum. You are not quietly being asked to hit a number. You book the room, and you spend what your event actually needs.

It’s a working venue rather than a showroom, so we book you a time and someone walks you through it properly.
